The 49th Annual Sumter Enduro will be held on February 4, 2018.  The Burnt Gin Hare Scramble will be held on January 28, 2018.  There will also be ONE Junior event held in conjunction with the Burnt Gin Hare Scramble, and it will also run on Sunday, January 28th.

 

Here are some highlights for the 2018 Sumter Dirt Bike Week:

Burnt Gin Hare Scramble on January 28, 2018:
• Youth event will also be held on January 28.
• The event will be held at the SERMA Club property.  It is NOT at the old venue located just down from the Post Office.  It is the same location the enduro is held.
• Free primitive camping (gates open Saturday at 7 AM) at the event and you can leave your RV the following week if you are coming back for the enduro.
• Registration will be open Saturday, January 27 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM for ALL riders and Sunday morning at 7:00 AM for YOUTH riders only, then at 9:00 AM for adult riders. 

49th Annual Sumter Enduro on February 4, 2018.
• The course will be approximately 65 miles long.  Per NEPG rules, there will be cutoffs for C and B riders.
• Limited to 720 riders.
• Concessions will be available on site.  Annual spaghetti dinner sponsored by Gas Gas Motorcycles will be held Saturday night at 6:00 PM.  Proceed go to Camp Burnt Gin, a camp for children with disabilities.  Minimum $5 per plate donation.
• Enduro sign up will open Wednesday, January 3 at 8:00 PM EST.  To sign up online, click here.  If entries have closed due to the event being full, you can sign up for the waiting list at the same link.  Rows will be assigned on a first come basis except for the reserved Pro and AA/Expert Row spots. If you want to ride with other riders, enter TOGETHER and EARLY. No row swapping allowed and we will not hold spots for entries to arrive later. Once a Row has been set, that’s it. This race has sold out many times, so do not wait. We will do our best to put you where requested but we can not make everyone happy. 
• Rows 21 thru 60 will have the “A” position reserved for Pro riders and AA/Expert Riders per NEPG rules.
• All National classes and SETRA classes will be observed.

• $60 Pre-entry fee. $65 Post entry fee. There will be a $2.00 per rider internet/Paypal convenience fee added to each online entry.
• The plan is to have one Main Gas, so only one jug is necessary. Start to Gas is XX.XX miles.  Gas to End is XX.XX miles.  There is an Aux Gas after the Main Gas, however SERMA will not transport jugs to that site.
• No timekeeping.  START/RESTART format.
